About the project
In 2015 Orora sold its former carton board mill site in Petrie, Queensland to Moreton Bay Regional Council.
As part of the negotiated sale terms and conditions, Orora are remediating the Petrie Mill Site and the remediation activities are ongoing.
This involves the decommissioning and reconstruction of Cell 8 landfill at the Site.
BDR role
Orora has engaged BDR to provide procurement and contract advisory, Superintendent and other project services in relation to the Cell 8 works including:
- Procurement strategy
- Procurement management
- Construction management
- Superintendent services
- Quality management
- Site engineering
- Expediting
- Coordination of sub-consultants
- Budget and cost management
- Document management (Aconex)
Outcomes
BDR Projects has provided contract, project and Superintendent services to Orora ensuring successful project outcomes.
Significant procurement issues due to COVID-19 impacts were dealt with swiftly and managed well, with limited project disruption.
BDR Projects’ also successfully managed the project with a number of external legal and environmental occurring simultaneously on Site.
