About the project

DILGP undertook to assess multiple projects, proposals for projects, and project opportunities, all identified in the State Infrastructure Plan, in order to determine highest priorities for regional funding allocations and progression of high priority projects.

BDR role

BDR Projects was engaged by DILGP to carry out evaluation of multiple water infrastructure project opportunities as identified in the State Infrastructure Plan.

That involved extensive engagement with the project proponents, and key stakeholders across multiple government departments, all in order to evaluate the project opportunities against DILGP guidelines to provide qualitative and quantitative assessment outcomes. Outcomes BDR Projects applied high standards of professionalism and several of its expert water industry personnel to complete the extensive stakeholder engagement, research, and report preparation requirements for evaluation of multiple water infrastructure project opportunities. At completion BDR Projects provided and presented high standard reporting deliverables to enable well prioritised further consideration and progression of water infrastructure requirements throughout regional Queensland. regional locations throughout most of Queensland, BDR Projects undertook considerable research in respect of particular project aspects including from technical, economic and feasibility perspectives.

BDR Projects’ engagement and research culminated in reporting for each project considered and delivery and presentation of reports to DILGP. The reports compiled included consideration of multiple aspects including alignment with government policy and priorities, financial considerations, barriers to progression, alternative solutions, and recommendations for progression.

The assessment process took place within fixed time and cost requirements, and all aspects were completed to full satisfaction of all DILGP requirements.

Outcomes
